* Taraweeh ki namaz ki shuruaat kaise huyee *

Urwa bin Zubair Radi Allahu Anhu se rivayat hai ki Ayesha radi allahu Anha ne farmaya ek baar (Ramadan ki ) aadhi raat mein Rasool-Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam masjid mein tashreef le gaye aur wahan taraweeh ki namaz padhi, Sahaba Radi Allahu Anhuma bhi aapke saath namaz mein shamil ho gaye, subah huyee to unhone uska charcha kiya phir dusri raat mein log pahley se bhi zyada shamil ho gaye, aur Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ke saath namaz padhi.

Dusri subah ko aur zyada charcha hua to teesri raat us se bhi zyada log jama ho gaye ,

Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne (us raat bh) namaz padhi aur logo ne aapki pairwi ki,

Chothi raat ko ye aalam tha ki masjid mein namaz padhney aaney walo ke liye jagah bhi baqi nahi rahi

( magar us raat Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam Namaz ke liye bahar hi nahi aaye)

bulki subah namaz ke liye tashreef laye aur jab namz padh li to logo ki taraf mutwajja hojar shahadat ke baad farmaya Amma baad tumhare yahan jama hone ka mujhe ilm tha lekin mujhe iska khauf hua ki ye namaz tum par farz na ho jaye aur phir tum usey ada na kar sako Aur jab Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ki wafat huyee uske baad bhi yahi kaifiyat rahi ( log alag alag taraweeh padhte rahe )

उरवा बिन जुबैर रदी अल्लाहु अन्हु से रिवायत है की आयशा रदी अल्लाहु अन्हा ने फ़रमाया एक बार (रमज़ान की ) आधी रात में रसूल-अल्लाह सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि वसल्लम मस्जिद में तशरीफ़ ले गए और वहां तरावीह की नमाज़ पढ़ी , सहाबा रदी अल्लाहु अन्हुमा भी आपके साथ नमाज़ में शामिल हो गए सुबह हुयी तो उन्होंने उसका चर्चा किया

फिर दूसरी रात में लोग पहले से भी ज़्यादा शामिल हो गए और आप सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि वसल्लम के साथ नमाज़ पढ़ी दूसरी सुबह को और ज़्यादा चर्चा हुआ

तो तीसरी रात उस से भी ज़्यादा लोग जमा हो गए , आप सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि वसल्लम ने (उस रात भी ) नमाज़ पढ़ी और लोगों ने आपकी पैरवी की.

चौथी रात को ये आलम था की मस्जिद में नमाज़ पढने आने वालों के लिए जगह भी बाकी नहीं रही ( मगर उस रात आप सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि वसल्लम नमाज़ के लिए बहार नहीं आये )

बल्कि सुबह (फजर की) नमाज़ के लिए तशरीफ़ लाए और जब नमाज़ पढ़ इ तो लोगों की तरफ मुतवज्जा होकर शहादत के बाद फ़रमाया अम्मा बाद तुम्हारे यहाँ जमा होने का मुझे इल्म था लेकिन मुझे इसका खौफ हुआ की ये नमाज़ तुम पर फ़र्ज़ न हो जाए और फिर तुम उसे अदा न कर सको और जब आप सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि वसल्लम की वफ़ात हुयी  तो उसके बाद भी यही केफियत रही ( लोग अलग अलग तरावीह पढ़ते रहे )

English Translation:

Narrated Urwa Radi Allahu Anhu That he was informed by Aisha Radi Allahu Anha, Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam went out in the middle of the night and prayed in the mosque and some men prayed behind him. In the morning, the people spoke about it and then a large number of them gathered and prayed behind him (on the second night). In the next morning the people again talked about it and on the third night the mosque was full with a large number of people. Allah's Messenger () came out and the people prayed behind him. On the fourth night the Mosque was overwhelmed with people and could not accommodate them, but the Prophet () came out (only) for the morning prayer. When the morning prayer was finished he recited Tashah-hud and (addressing the people) said, "Amma ba'du, your presence was not hidden from me but I was afraid lest the night prayer (Qiyam) should be enjoined on you and you might not be able to carry it on." So, Allah's Apostle passed away and the situation remained like that (i.e. people prayed individually). "
